The bodies of the three were laid at a security point in Jebu Miango, with their skulls ripped open from gunshots.

Speaking on the incident, the district head of Miango, Daniel Chega said it comes despite series of security meetings and agreements with security agencies and the Fulani leaders on an end to the continuous killing of his people.

He called on security agencies to search an enclave which is suspected to be the base of the killers .

A youth leader in the area, Zongo Lawrence also called for the enforcement of an agreement brokered by the ‘operation safe haven’ security outfit, that anytime there was a killing in the area, leaders should be held responsible.

He therefore called for the arrest of Miyyeti Allah leaders in view of the incident.

Other residents say the major road into Miango was no longer safe, as similar attacks on travellers were recorded barely three weeks ago.
